Women in fire and Emergency New Zealand

Who are we?

Women in Fire and Emergency NZ was established in the early 2000s as a support network for women in the NZFS. Formally New Zealand Fire Service Women, we are experiencing an exciting resurrection, including a new name and rebranding. We are developing a new National and Regional structure and re-establishing the web site to enable our women to network, participate and share information.

Our Mission Statement:

"To promote and facilitate the participation and success of women in fire and emergency roles in New Zealand"

What do we want to achieve?

We want to provide a voice and support network for all women- career and volunteer, working in fire and emergency roles in New Zealand. We provide input and views on a range of NZFS activities and policies and in the future are looking to provide more forums- both online and in person for women in Fire and Emergency services to network.

There are a number of activities in development that we can update you on soon.
